Donna Ross is our Office Manager and has been at Pennyroyal since the doors opened in May, 1997. She was at Dr. Zaffarano's side through the initial opening of our clinic and has never looked back! Donna is a former nurse and wears many hats here at Pennyroyal. She managed the practice of her husband, Dr. James Ross for many years. Donna is the proud grandma of 3 beautiful kids, and not only takes care of all of us, but all of her dozen or so critters.
Megan Mitchell joined our Client Care Team in 2008 and loves being up front to see all of the wonderful animals (and their owners) that come through the door. She spends most of the time as a vet tech but sometimes she pops up to the front desk! Megan and her husband Eric, are the proud parents of a handsome gray cat named "Bentley" that was left at the clinic in a trap, a Pit Bull mix Addy, and three cats, Choe, Charlotte and Seamus - all of which are from Kentucky Save Rescue. She is a ray of sunshine for us at Pennyroyal with her outgoing- bubbly personality and enthusiasm for animals.
Lori Mosely joined us in October 2012. Lori attended Eastern Kentucky University majoring in Biology. She is a Veterinary Assistant and receptionist and comes to us with 23 years of veterinary experience. Lori is the proud mother of a 16 year old son, Wyatt. We are excited to welcome Lori to our Pennyroyal family. She brings a cheerful attitude, a love for animals and wonderful work ethic.
Haley Nealis joined the team in 2016 and has wanted to work in a veterinary clinic since she was two years old. She has two animals, a German Shepard named Kaytah and a cat named Aria, who was brought to the clinic as a stray. Since working here, Haley has come to love and want tons of new animals (including reptiles and birds).
Rebecca Bertrand has been a receptionist at our clinic since 2013 and has always had a love for all animals. She is the proud mother to her son, Sawyer, as well as two dogs, Izzy and Fergus - who is a Kentucky Save Rescue. Along with being a full-time momma and helping at our clinic, Rebecca likes to compete with her two horses, Apollo and Military Pike.
Lisa Lee joined our wonderful team in 2016 with many years of experience in the veterinary field. Her and her husband have 3 sons and 5 grandchildren. She is always happy go lucky at the front desk so you are sure to see her smiling! Her family has 4 dogs, 6 cats, 2 goats, chickens and guineas! She has quite the zoo!
MEET JASPER - Our clinic cat! He was rescued from the life of a professional barn cat and has fit right in with the staff and clients of Pennyroyal. He has a warm and friendly personality and loves to greet everyone who comes to see us, as he is convinced you are here to see him! He enjoys interrupting appointments by opening the exam room doors, climbing into unattended carriers and begging for his favorite treats.
Blossom is our clinic bird. She has been at Pennyroyal since we opened in 1997. Blossom is generally in the back of the clinic, but you may catch her up front visiting on occasion. She is a "Bare-eyed Cockatoo" and for the most part she is a very personable and friendly bird, though she can be onery at times. We love having her around and she is quite the conversationalist when she chooses.
